The Belgian started from gate four and maintained that position at the start of the qualifying race before quickly moving to third, a position he held to the finish. KRT teammate Julien Lieber joined Clément in the top ten to the gate for each of tomorrow's points-scoring motos after a strong ride.
Clément Desalle: "My reactions at the gate were OK, but I lost a little momentum leaving turn one when somebody touched me. I was able to get back quickly to fourth and was putting pressure on Febvre when he fell. That put me third. I was closing to Gajser in second when he clipped a haybale and it rolled into my path. That cost me contact to him, but I felt easy today and I go full of confidence into tomorrow's GP motos."
Marshall Weltin of the F&H Racing Team continued his excellent form since joining the team on Kawasaki and earnt eighth gate pick in the MX2 class of tomorrow's GP.
